SciStarter is the place to find, join, and contribute to science through more than 1600 formal and informal research projects and events. This database of citizen science projects enables discovery, organization, and greater participation in citizen science. We integrate with SciStarter via project sharing and event tracking.

We aim to let you share your observations with this vast network and vet your identifications soon.

The Denver Zoo has been a long supporter of and has teamed up with us on its Front Range Pika Project effort. We have collaborated to develop a custom portal for this citizen science project given the unique needs of the program, but you can still see this project on just as you can all of our other projects.

Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring (ALLARM)

The Alliance for Aquatic Resource Monitoring (ALLARM) program at Dickinson College teamed up with to develop a custom portal for water quality monitoring throughout Pennsylvannia. The Bloomwatch citizen science project works with citizen scientists, trained water professionals, and the general public to find and study cyanobacteria in waterbodies. This team needed a back-end database and front-end data management and visualization tool for its mobile app to sync with. We partnered with BloomWatch by building them an API for their mobile app to use to send us data.

Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF)

The Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) is an international open data infrastructure. By encouraging and helping institutions to publish data according to common standards, GBIF enables research not possible before, and informs better decisions to conserve and sustainably use the biological resources of the planet. We'll be sharing your species observations with them soon!
